Product Information
This is a very beautiful Christian Dior gold-plated necklace in Art Deco style.
It features a woven gold-tone chain leading to a striking centrepiece with a geometric chevron design. At its heart sits a trillion-cut, ruby-red crystal surrounded by pavé crystals, and flanked by black enamel and crystal chevron motifs. The symmetrical design forms a soft V-shape, with excellent contrast between the gold, black enamel, and sparkling clear stones - all showcasing the central stone beautifully.
An iconic Dior 1980s statement piece, it embodies the opulence of the era while paying homage to 1920s-30s Art Deco design.
The necklace sits in the nape of the neck and is in excellent vintage condition.
Signed Chr. Dior © on clasp and extender chain, with CD logo to end of extender chain.
Dates 1980s.
Length: 16 - 18 inches | 41 - 48 cm with extender chain.
The central pendant is 1.5 cm high and 6 cm wide | 0.6 inches x 2.4 inches
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear consistent with age.
Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour in women's fashion, which appealed to the mood of post-war society. Christian Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his garments in 1948. Christian Dior jewellery is very collectable today.
Please note this is a vintage piece and there is only one available.
