An antique silver-plated Georgian brass candle snuffer. Georgian, circa 1820s.
The snuffer works well, and sits on ball feet, which are all intact. There is wear on the edges where they have been used over the past 200 years.
During - and before - Georgian times these tools were used to snuff out the candle and the small receptacle caught the trimmed bit of wick.
They have become sought after again today with the popularity of candles - and scented candles - in home decor.
Please note this is a unique antique item and once it is gone, it is gone!
Dimensions: 7” long (170mm) X 2.25” (58mm)
