Enter the whimsical world of Kirks Folly with this enchanting large gold tone fairy brooch.
The body of the fairy in flight is crafted in purple enamel, with detailed translucent enamel wings. The fairy carries a purple star.
The brooch closes with a foldover clasp. Marked Kirks Folly in oval cartouche to reverse and stamped 'Astral'. The star is also stamped Kirks Folly.
In excellent condition, possibly unworn.
Dimensions: 8.5 cm x 7 cm (3.3 x 2.75 inches) at highest point.

Founded in New York in 1979 by a brother and three sisters, Kirks Folly enjoyed instant success when they secured a front page feature in the New York Times in 1980. Their jewellery is fantastical, playful and whimsical. The company ceased production in 2014 and their jewellery has become very collectable and sought after today.
