Handmade in Peru with ethically sourced alpaca fur this really is the Rolls Royce of hot water bottles.  It features a luxurious silk lining, with silk satin ribbon with the reverse a soft lambskin. It fits a standard-size hot water bottle, bottle included. And if you're not using the hot water bottle, it can be used as a nightie case.

To restore the fur to its former glory, simply brush talcum powder through the fur with a pet brush, available from any pet store. We recommend you use a towel around the neck of the bottle when filling to protect yourself and the fur which can eventually perish if it is continually soaked. Ensure the neck of the bottle is dry with no leaks before removing the towel. Please note due to the tanning process used on these fur hot water bottles they can not be washed.  As this is a natural product,  no two hot water bottle covers are exactly the same, so the colour may vary slightly from that shown.

Understated and elegant, the Samantha Holmes collection is made from luxuriously soft natural fibres. Each product is designed in Scotland and made by skilled artisans in Peru using traditional methods. The fur used is from alpaca that have died of natural causes - baby alpacas - or 'cria'.The younger, weaker animals often perish in the harsh Andean winter and are never killed purely for their fur.

As these are hand made from a natural material please note there may be some  colour variation from the images shown.
