Product Information

A spectacular celestial brooch in silver tone metal featuring a blue enamel crescent man in the moon surrounded by shooting star trails. Adorned with sparkling blue crystal stars, clear crystals, and iridescent AB crystals that catch the light beautifully. Finished with an elegant dangling crystal star accent.

This spectacular brooch was inspired by the iconic 1979 Regent Street Christmas lights in London, designed by Simon Wilson, founder of the legendary Butler & Wilson brand, which he established in 1969.  The lights are pictured in Vivienne Becker's seminal book, Rough Diamonds, published in 1990.

A stunning statement piece that captures the magic of the night sky and the legendary Christmas lights.

Fitted with a pin post and revolver fastening, it is in excellent condition with all crystals intact.

Dimensions: 11 cm x 5 cm  | 4.35 inches x 2 inches

Marked Butler & Wilson  in cartouche on reverse side.

Supplied in Butler & Wilson box.

Please note there is only one brooch available.

Created in 1969, Butler & Wilson began selling antique jewellery in the Antiquarius market, Chelsea and has come to define bold, glamorous crystal costume jewellery. British Vogue says that their ability to change with the times and fashion throughout the years has made Butler and Wilson 'Costume royalty'.

A note about vintage jewellery

Please note: we classify jewellery made before 2005 as vintage. The exact age is sometimes unknown so dating is approximate.  Most of our jewellery is pre-owned, but not always old enough to be described as vintage. Such pieces will not include the word 'vintage' in their product descriptions.  This Butler & Wilson brooch is in excellent, possibly unworn condition, and is supplied in its blue Butler & Wilson original box.
