A rare vintage Butler & Wilson cats brooch, their articulated tails united by a sparkling ruby-red heart crystal.
The silver-tone brooch features two cats sitting on a silver-tone perch. Exquisitely crafted, their bodies are entirely pavé-set with shimmering clear round crystals, complemented by clear marquise crystal ears and sleek silver whiskers. Each cat sports a vibrant collar of ruby red crystals, but the true highlight of this rare, late 1980s / early 1990s variant is their intertwined tails, united by a ruby-red crystal heart.
The brooch is in excellent vintage condition and bears the Butler & Wilson cartouche on the reverse. It closes with a secure rollover clasp and all the crystals are intact.
Presented in its original, vibrant pink Butler & Wilson box, this piece makes a stunning, unique gift for a lover of vintage jewellery, a Butler & Wilson collector, or a cat lover.
Provenance: Acquired from a single collection belonging to a lady who collected Butler & Wilson jewels for their sheer beauty, but rarely wore the pieces. This piece has been flawlessly preserved and has seldom been worn, if at all. It is in excellent vintage condition with every single crystal remaining perfectly intact and radiant; the clasp is fully functional and it shows virtually no sign of wear.
