Product Information

This is a lovely art deco silver-plated chain necklace with emerald-green colour crystal pendant in beautiful fleur-de-lis claw setting.  Dates circa late 1920s/early 1930s.

In very good condition commensurate with its age.  

Dimensions: chain: 16" (41 cm) long. Pendant 3 cm x 2.5 cm (1 ¼" x 1") at widest point.

Art deco design can be defined as starting with the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts which was held in Paris in 1925;  the art deco period continued into the 1930s.  Art deco designs can broadly be defined as as symmetrical, geometric, sophisticated and pure in their simplicity.

The Art Deco era was a glamorous time, characterised by exciting new fashions during the roaring twenties as well as the flapper girl.
