An exquisite pair of richly gold-plated faux mabe pearl vintage clip earrings signed Oscar de la Renta.
Beautifully crafted, of small proportion, with Etruscan style gold beading around the bezel, a golden bead at the top of each earring, with gold wire-work drop heart.
Date late 1980s/1990s In perfect unworn condition.

Oscar de la Renta (1932-2014) was born in the Dominican Republic. He initially intended to be a painter but his career in fashion began with a job sketching the collections at Eisa, Balenciaga's Madrid couture house. During his time at Lanvin he created feminine, romantic evening wear, which has remained signature style. He founded his eponymous brand in 1987 and had many high profile clients, including Princess Diana, Jackie Kennedy, Sienna Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker and many more.
