An antique silver-plated five piece toast rack in the form a vintage car. The rack stands on four functional wheels. A great gift for a vintage car enthusiast.

Can also be used as a letter rack.

Stamped Van Bergh S/PLATE CO.  The company was founded in Rochester, New York, by brothers Frederick W. and Maurice H. Van Bergh in 1892; they incorporated as Van Bergh Silver Plate Company Inc. in 1925, and merged with Oneida Community Ltd. in 1926.  So this piece dates pre-1926.

The Van Bergh Silver Plate Company were famous for using quadruple plate on their designs, making them more lasting than those with only one coat of silver plate.
