Product Information
A double-strand faux pearl necklace by Italian jewellery house Vogue Bijoux, dating from the 1980s.
The large 10mm cream faux pearls have a subtle ivory tinge with a warm, high lustre and are individually double-knotted. They are of exceptional quality. Four crystal rondelle spacers intersperse the pearls near the clasp.
The clasp is fabulous - a cushion-cut aquamarine crystal surrounded by pavé-set crystals and set in high-carat gold-plating, designed to sit to the side of the neckline. It can also be worn at the back as a traditional fastening.
Signed Vogue Bijoux to the reverse.

Vogue Bijoux
Vogue Bijoux was an Italian costume jewellery designer and manufacturer based in Italy, operating from the 1950s through to the early 1990s.
Vogue Bijoux pieces were designed to emulate fine jewellery. They are sought after by modern collectors due to several key benchmarks of luxury artisan craftsmanship: the individually hand-crafted pieces were traditionally finished with an exceptionally thick, high-carat of gold plating. This gives their vintage jewellery an unmistakable, authentic weight and a rich lustre that resists tarnishing over the decades. They used the finest materials, including brilliantly faceted poured art glass, unfoiled simulated gemstones, and grain-set pavé crystals that rivalled the exceptional clarity and fire of Swarovski crystals.
