A beautiful pair of vintage faux sapphire gold plated clip on earrings by Christian Dior. 
 
Polished triple row gold plate surrounds the faux sapphires and sets them off to perfection.

Can be dressed up or down - the perfect match to a dress, a suit or jeans.

With secure clips and in very good condition commensurate with their age, 1980s.

Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour in women's fashion, which appealed to the mood of post-war society. Christian Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his garments in 1948.

In 1955 Christian Dior granted the exclusive license to manufacture his designs to Henkel and Grosse, based in the famous goldsmith town of Pforzheim Germany;  Henkel and Grosse held the license for 50 years, until 2005, when the company was taken over by Dior.
