Henkel and Grossé was founded in the famous goldsmith town of Pforzheim, Germany in the early 20th century by Heinrich Henkel and Florentin Grossé. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality costume jewellery and secured contracts with prestigious retailers such as Harrods and Saks in New York. Designers including Elsa Schiaparelli and Jeanne Lanvin collaborated with the firm in Paris, and Hollywood stars like Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo were among those who wore their pieces. Following the Second World War, the company became known simply as Grossé. In the 1950s, their jewellery was sold in Christian Dior’s boutique.

In 1955 Christian Dior granted Grossé the exclusive license to manufacture his jewellery designs. The company produced both its own collections and jewellery for Dior, all crafted to a very high standard using gold-plated and rhodium-plated metals. Grossé held the Dior licence for 50 years, until 2005, when the company was acquired by Dior. Today, Grossé jewellery is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.

Please note this is a vintage pair of earrings and there is only one pair available.
