This is a simply stunning Mikimoto pin crafted in the shape of a key and set with fourteen beautifully matched creamy white pearls. It has a safety style clasp in and the back is clearly marked K Mikimoto Tokyo, an S for silver and M for Mikimoto. It dates pre World War II.

Mikimoto's founder, Kokichi Mikimoto (1858-1954), created the world's first cultured pearls in 1893 and the company is known today as the leading producer and designer of the world's finest quality pearls and pearl jewellery.
