Created in 1969, Butler & Wilson began by selling antique jewellery in London’s Antiquarius market. Over the decades, they have become renowned for bold, glamorous costume pieces. As British Vogue notes, their enduring appeal lies in their ability to evolve with the times, while retaining a distinctive, theatrical charm.
A note about vintage jewellery
Please note: we classify jewellery made before 2006 as vintage. The exact age is sometimes unknown so dating is approximate. Most of our jewellery is pre-owned, but not always old enough to be described as vintage. Such pieces will not include the word 'vintage' in their product descriptions. This is a modern, wearable reimagination of Butler & Wilson's classic 1980s articulated design, complete with the signature circular Butler & Wilson hallmark on the reverse. This brooch was acquired from a lady who had been collecting Butler & Wilson since 1978.
