Vintage 1980s Christian Dior Faux Emerald Crystal Clip on Earrings

Product Information

Add a touch of Parisian glamour to your collection with these vintage Christian Dior earrings.

Manufactured in Germany by Henkel & Grosse for the House of Christian Dior, the gold-plated earrings are centred with a juicy emerald-green poured glass cabochon, flawed to emulate emeralds. The stones are surrounded by clear pavé-set crystals with a row of clear baguette crystals below.

The clips are signed Chr. Dior © Germany and date late 1970s/early 1980s.

Condition: the front faces of both earrings are in excellent condition, with all crystals bright, secure; the clips are firm and comfortable. There is some minor wear to the gold plating on the reverse side edge, typical for their age and not visible when worn (please refer to images).

Dimensions: 2.1 cm x 1.8 cm | 0.85 inches x 0.7 inches approx.

Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour, perfectly capturing the mood of post-war society. The following year, Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his clothing.

Today, Christian Dior jewellery is highly sought after. Renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, quality and timeless elegance, mid-century Dior pieces are experiencing a surge in demand, with prices climbing as they become increasingly rare. Jewellery created by Dior from the 1970s onwards is also following a similar upward trajectory.
