A Butler & Wilson open lattice gold-tone Christmas tree brooch.

The brooch is outlined with sparkling green crystals and dotted with aurora borealis crystals, topped with a golden star set with aurora borealis crystals, in a red pavé-set crystal stand.

Dimensions 6 cm x 3.5 cm | 2.4 inches x 1.4  inches approximately.

Supplied in Butler & Wilson Union Jack anniversary box, still in its original cello wrap.

Created in 1969, Butler & Wilson began selling antique jewellery in the Antiquarius market, Chelsea and has come to define bold, glamorous crystal costume jewellery. British Vogue says that their ability to change with the times and fashion throughout the years has made Butler and Wilson 'Costume royalty'. This brooch almost certainly dates 2014, the year Butler & Wilson celebrated its 45th anniversary, when they launched their vintage-inspired collection and produced some of their most iconic designs from the 1980s and 90s.
