About the Designer

Christian Dior (1905-1957), an icon of 20th-century fashion, revolutionised post-war style with his 1947 'New Look' collection, celebrating femininity and elegance. In 1948, he introduced his first line of costume jewellery to complement his couture creations, which remains highly collectible today. Expanding into menswear, the House launched the Christian Dior Monsieur line in 1970. This sophisticated pair of cufflinks dates from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.
