Add a touch of classic sophistication to formal attire with this striking pair of vintage Christian Dior Monsieur cufflinks, dating from the 1980s.

The rectangular cufflinks feature a rich black enamel centre, subtly detailed with the iconic Dior monogram logo, accented within a polished gold-plated border and finished with silver tone ribbed metal.

The toggle closures are stamped Chr. Dior ©.

The cufflinks come complete with their original grey velvet presentation box with the original tag attached. They are in excellent condition - they have probably been protected in a drawer since the 1980s.

    Dimensions: 1.9 cm x 1.2 cm |  0.75 inches x 0.5 inches approx.

     

    Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour, perfectly capturing the mood of post-war society. The following year, Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his clothing.

    Christian Dior launched his first collection for men, Christian Dior Monsieur, in 1970. These cufflinks date from the 1980s.

    Today, Christian Dior jewellery is highly sought after. Renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, quality and timeless elegance, mid-century Dior pieces are experiencing a surge in demand, with prices climbing as they become increasingly rare. Jewellery created by Dior from the 1970s onwards is also following a similar upward trajectory.
