A fabulous vintage Christian Dior demi-parure dating from the 1980s. 

This rare statement set features a beautiful, fluid, gold-plated smooth herringbone chain necklace with an integrated octagonal pendant, perfectly complemented by a pair of matching geometric clip-on earrings.

Both the pendant and earrings are centered with striking, step-cut stones. These sapphire-blue crystals shift in colour according to the light, from cornflower blue to deep inky blue. The stones are framed by clear, brilliant-cut crystals. The strong symmetry, rich colour contrast, and sleek architecture beautifully capture the house’s iconic, bold interpretation of classic Art Deco design.

An exceptional suite for collectors, presented in excellent vintage condition possibly unworn.

Stamped Chr. Dior © on the reverse of the earrings and on the CD charm on the necklace, these pieces were produced during the celebrated Henkel & Grosse era - the renowned Pforzheim firm held an exclusive licensing partnership with Christian Dior for their premium costume jewellery lines. Pieces from this collaboration are prized by collectors for their craftsmanship and substantial feel.

Necklace Length: 15 – 17 inches (39 – 44 cm) with extender chain

Pendant Dimensions: H 1.8 cm x W 2.0 cm (0.7 in x 0.8 in) approx.

Earrings Dimensions: H 1.2 cm x W 1.2 cm (0.5 in x 0.5 in) approx.

The set comes in a small Dior box which shows some wear commensurate with age, but which has held its precious cargo safe over the years.


Christian Dior

Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour in women's fashion, which appealed to the mood of post-war society. Christian Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his garments in 1948.

In 1955 Christian Dior granted the exclusive license to manufacture his designs to Henkel and Grosse, based in the famous goldsmith town of Pforzheim Germany;  Henkel and Grosse held the license for 50 years, until 2005, when the company was taken over by Dior.
