Product Information
A vintage strand of cultured pearls with gold-plated clasp.
The pearls came from a private collection of 1950s-60s jewellery and are believed to date from this period.
The necklace features hand-knotted graduated pearls, varying in size from 3mm to 7mm. The pearls graduate from 7mm at the centre to 3mm at the back, creating an elegant tapered effect.
The creamy white pearls have good lustre and are well-matched.
The push-in box clasp is stamped 925 for sterling silver, with gold-plating and decorative pearl accents. The mechanism works perfectly, with characteristic styling of mid-century pearl necklaces.
Length: 27 inches | 68 cm - sits at chest/breastbone level when worn.
The necklace is in very good vintage condition.
The pearls come in a satin- and velvet-lined presentation box marked 'Heller Pearls', Henrietta Place, London W1. The box interior is in excellent condition, with some very minor loss to the exterior (please refer to images).
