The Grossé–Dior Legacy
Grossé is celebrated for its 50-year exclusive partnership with Christian Dior (1955–2005), producing the vast majority of Dior’s high-end costume jewelry. Every piece from this era, including these earrings, was crafted in the same Pforzheim factory to the same meticulous standards as jewelry signed "Chr. Dior." For collectors, this makes them a rare and highly coveted treasure.
Christian Dior (1905-1957), one of the 20th century’s most celebrated couturiers, revolutionized fashion with his 1947 'New Look' collection, defining post-war elegance and ultra-femininity. He introduced his first line of fashion jewelry in 1948, designed to perfectly complement his couture creations.
In 1955, Dior granted Henkel & Grossé the exclusive license to craft his designs, a partnership that lasted for 50 years until Dior assumed full control in 2005. Jewelry from this period exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship, with gold-plated and rhodium-plated finishes, making each piece a symbol of elegance, history, and collectible value.
