A beautiful vintage flower brooch by Hroar Prydz, crafted in gold-plated sterling silver with textured guilloche enamel work. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition for a piece of this age, with just a few light surface marks commensurate with age and use. The rollover pin mechanism is secure and functional.

Hroar Prydz (1918-2011) was a distinguished Norwegian silversmith and enamelist who established his workshop in Oslo in the mid-20th century. Working primarily from the 1940s through the 1980s, Prydz became known for his delicate sterling silver jewellery featuring exquisite guilloche enamel work, often depicting naturalistic motifs such as flowers, leaves, and abstract forms. His pieces showcased traditional Norwegian craftsmanship combined with modernist Scandinavian design sensibilities, characterised by clean lines, elegant proportions, and masterful enamel techniques. Prydz's work is highly regarded among collectors of Norwegian silver for its quality craftsmanship and artistic merit.
